Analyzing Parental Guidance on Character Development During the Covid 19 Pandemic

Covid-19 has a major impact on the lives of people around the world, one of which is Indonesia. Indonesia is plagued by concerns because the spread of Covid-19 is increasing and has a big impact on the economy, especially education in Indonesia is very shaken by the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to, (1) know the learning process of students during the pandemic, (2) know the parents' responses to the online learning process, (3) know what problems students and parents face during the pandemic, and to (4) know the influence of Covid-19 on the process of character development in children. The method used in this research qualitative case studies, which aim to find out information about problems, which are needed in this study, namely parents, students, and teachers. The results shows that the impact of Covid19 on all parties (teachers, parents, students) is huge, lack of knowledge of the use of technology and large expenses were obstacles to the learning process, and were also constrained by networks that might be where students lived far from the city center so that the internet was not affordable.

Students’ and Teachers’ Perspectives on an EFL Textbook for Indonesian Senior High School Students

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of an English textbook entitled “Bahasa Inggris SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X” from the perspectives of students and teachers. The evaluation of the textbook concern was conducted at macro level on the basis of eleven criteria. Both quantitative and qualitative data were obtained through student questionnaires administered to 94 students and interviews with 4 teachers. The results revealed that both teachers and students felt negative about some of the characteristics of the textbook. It was found that the reading passages needed to be simplified in terms of vocabulary load and the grammar needed to be presented in the details. It also indicated that the listening activities were not supported by audio recordings that should have been included in the textbook. Moreover, the students expected the book to include multiple choice exercises. It implies that some aspects of the textbook need to be revised and the audio recordings must be included to support the listening activities. On the other hand, one of the strengths of the textbook was that the activities in the textbook involved opportunities that encourage students’ creativity, interest, and curiousity.

Increasing the Role of Technology in Functions of Law as a Tool of Social Engineering

The impact of technological advances in law is overwhelming, on one side the law needs to predict and anticipate changes in human behavior due to the use of technology, while on the other side the law also needs to utilize technology as a means that can be used to achieve the aims and objectives of the law. The problem is that law and technology do not originate from the same conception. So that maximizing the role of technology to accelerate the occurrence of social engineering in order that changes that occur in society can be controlled and run in an orderly manner, to create the national goals of a country is a serious challenge. Increasing the role of technology in the development of the concept of law as a tool of social engineering is carried out by realizing the convergence of technology and law in various fields of law, both in the normative and practical dimensions.

The Effect Of The Quiz Team Method On Student Learning Outcomes In Mathematics Lessons

This study aims to increase students' learning activities and achievement by applying the Quiz Team learning method in learning mathematics with fractions. This research is a Classroom Action Research consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and interviews. The research subjects were students of class V Elementary School Citamiang 1 Sukabumi City, totaling 25 students. Sources of data come from teachers and students. The technique of collecting data is by testing (pre-test, group questions and post-test). Data analysis used quantitative technique using normality test and t test. The results showed that using the Quiz Team Learning method could improve student learning outcomes. Then, the quiz team method can improve students' understanding of mathematics and raise students' enthusiasm for learning so that class conditions become active.

Maqasid As-Syari'ah In The Distribution of Zakat

This article discusses how the distribution of Zakah in the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) in the perfective of Maqasid As-Syari'ah. The research method used in this study is a library research, namely the library data collection method which consists of several websites and books owned by the National Amil Zakat Agency, and several articles dealing with the issue being discussed. The distribution conducted by the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) includes economic empowerment, economic programs and educational programs from the perspective of Dharuriyah (Religion, Spirit, Heredity, Intellect and Assets) Hajjiah and Tahsiniyah. This article concludes that the efforts to manage zakah in a productive, active and creative manner in the perspective of Maqasid As-Syari'ah are policies that unavoidable for the benefit of the people, the welfare and prosperity of the poor people. The distribution of zakat is a way to reduce poverty in Islamic societies. The distribution of zakat as far as possible is not only to meet the consumption needs of mustahik, but also for a long period of time it frees them from dependence on zakah funds.

The Application of Audio-Visual-Based Learning Media To The Learning Interest of Elementary School Students

The purpose of the study was to determine the interest and talent of elementary school students towards the implementation of audio-visual learning media. This study aims to analyze the interests of elementary school students, by using the audio visual learning method. The relationship between the application of learning media in the form of audio visuals to the learning interest of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDN Cisaat. This research is a quantitative research using experimental research methods. Our experiment is to collect data through surveys and filling out questionnaires. The subjects used in this study were grade 4 students at SDN Cisaat. The data collection used in this research is by means of observation, questionnaires and documentation. The results of the descriptive analysis that have been carried out show that when learning takes place using audio-visual media, it has a relationship with student interest. This is indicated by the high value of the results of the questionnaire that has been filled out by students on interest when learning using audio-visual takes place. The high motivation and interest in students' learning when audio-visual media is applied is certainly an advantage of using this media, one of which is how students look more active in providing feedback on the video showing. students in following learning in class. In addition to providing self-interest, the use of audio-visual media can foster more curiosity about the material presented, the use of audio-visual media on student interest has a significant effect on science learn.

The Implementation of The ICT Project Method in Learning English at SMAN 1 Cibadak

This study aims to describe how the contribution of the implementation of the ICT Project method in learning English at SMAN 1 Cibadak in the academic year 2018/2019 to increase students’ learning motivation. This research is a qualitative research with a case study method. Research subjects are students involved in ICT Project activities, teachers, principals, and employees. While the object of research is the contribution of the implementation of the ICT project method in increasing students’ motivation. Research data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively using interactive analysis methods. The results showed that the implementation of the ICT Project method in learning English at SMAN 1 Cibadak in academic year 2018/2019 contributed to increase students’ learning motivation. This is evidenced by the indicators of the condition of students’ motivation is in high category and positive attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction during learning. The constributon of ICT Project is not only increasing students’ motivation, but also provides students to the 21st century skills for collaboration skills, the ability to use ICT, and the ability to communicate (communication skills).
